Research Impact Workshop Poster
Organised by Universiti Sains Malaysia PPSP USAINS Immunology Depart.
Why this workshop

Researchers in Malaysia are publishing more than ever — but hitting the same ceiling.

The work is solid. The translation into citations, partnerships, and impact is the gap. This workshop is built to close it.

01

Direction over volume

Map your research trends, identify high-value impactful directions, and analyse big-data signals using R, VOSviewer, Citespace, and Bibilioshiny.

02

Evidence that travels

Move from high-value research questions to real-world policy. Communicate meta-analysis insights — go beyond meta-analysis itself.

03

From soul to tool

Use the DRRIMA framework for structured reasoning: scientific thinking and research success strategy that turns first drafts into Q1 papers.

The 4 modules

Four expert-led modules. Take one, take all four.

Each module is self-contained. The bundle gives you the full pipeline — from finding direction to writing the impactful paper.

Built on a community of researchers

This workshop builds on months of free sessions and a 6-hour Masterclass.

The June workshop is the deep, structured next step for the 190+ researchers who joined our free Research Impact Masterclass and the 1-hour expert sessions with Prof Vuk Uskokovic and Dr Pin Shie.

So great to learn new tools regarding INTACT, DDRIMA in my research. I will apply that in my social science research impact.
Mastura
Research Impact Masterclass attendee
I understand how to present scientific information with more purpose rather than to just make it look pretty.
Munierah Najwa
Research Impact Masterclass attendee
Dr Rohimah's sessions changed how I approach my postgraduates' writing — focused on reasoning before drafting.

Frequently asked

Answers before you register

Who is this workshop for?

Postgraduate students, early-career researchers, principal investigators, and senior researchers across STEM and health sciences who want to lift the impact of their published work. Comfortable with English-language scientific writing. No prior experience with the specific tools (R, VOSviewer, Citespace, etc.) is required — Module 1 is structured for both beginners and the curious.

Can I attend just one module?

Yes. Each module is self-contained. Single-module pricing is RM125 (online, early bird) or RM200 (offline, early bird). However, the 4-module bundle offers the best value at RM100 per module online — that is the recommended path for researchers who want the complete pipeline.

What is the difference between online and offline?

Online attendees join live via Webex, with full Q&A access and workshop materials. Offline attendees attend at BTA, PPSP, USM with all the online benefits plus in-person networking with speakers and direct feedback. Module 3 (AI Visualisation) especially benefits from the offline hands-on format. Offline seats are limited.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes — a certificate of participation is issued for each module attended. Bundle attendees receive a single combined certificate covering all four modules.

Will sessions be recorded?

Live online recordings will be made available to registered participants for replay within a limited window after the workshop. Offline-only segments may not be recorded in full.

How do I pay?

After registration, you will receive payment instructions by email. We accept bank transfer and standard online payment methods. For institutional payments or LO/PO arrangements, contact us directly via WhatsApp.

I'm a Masterclass alumni — is there a discount?

Yes. Alumni of the 6-hour Research Impact Masterclass receive an extended early bird rate. Contact us via WhatsApp or email by 25 May to claim it. We may also feature your testimonial in workshop communications in exchange.

Group rates for research labs / departments?

Yes — group registrations of 5+ from the same lab or department qualify for a 10% group rate on the bundle. Contact us via WhatsApp to arrange.
